We are changing name of our company, so I am digging into all places where it is stored, such as application software & communications contact pages (such as the info that IBM gets when Send PTF Order does not work). Is there any FAQ check list of places to consider? OS/400 stores System Name some place ... right now it is CENTRAL Many DDS plunk this into a standard location in upper left corner of interactive screens, and it also shows up on SDA menus, but I forget exactly where that place is that stores it ... it aint in WRKSYSVAL or WRKSYSCFG ... I think it is communications network something & that is unfamiliar territory for me. When I do find it, we will have to be careful about switchover timing ... our PC LAN links to that name ... our trading partners dial into that name. I need to figure out all the places where the data is not SYSNAME but actually CENTRAL I thought it would be real nice if *SYSNAME could be substituted all the places that now reference CENTRAL, so that when we switch over, we only have to switch one place. That would be too simple. Then the PC LAN is using similar naming on the other end & also needs twitching. So, where the heck is System Name stored & how do I change it?
