I use a Compatible VPN server on our work network and a Cisco client under win95/8/nt/00. It works to get to our network and run CA Express. Works great with my PPPoE DSL at home and 98/00. (Others have the 95/NT stuff) If you bridge two locations together via VPN and use routing to have to AS400 talk with each other it also works. Even with *ANYNET. Just make sure your routing tables and VPN servers are configured correctly. We allow all data from AS400 1's IP to AS400 2's IP to pass thru the VPN with out requiring a logon. Data is encrypted. Someone has told us that this is not a good way to go and it is very difficult to make this work with an AS/400 (iseries?). Anyone had any experience with this?
