Try to get some one to explain how the AS/400 (iSeries) can:

1. Receive FTP documents that are coded in UTF-8 ( a variant of Unicode ) with 
characters in Chinese, Japanese, or Korean (CJK).
2. Store the data in db2/400.
3. Respond with a new FTP document created from the db2/400 database and 
containing the correct CJK character representations so that when received in 
one of those countries it will be readable by the recipient.

(and when you have the meeting that discusses this topic I will drive to 
Milwaukee to attend - if you would tell me when and where)
