        In doing this do you understand the implications of the replica ID
in the files.  Are you trying to COPY the file or PUSH it to another server
??  You will propably need to look at the APIs to get your own lock from
outside the Domino server without needing to fixup afterward.  I would start
by looking at the new APIs that we put inplace for the various backup
software products including BRMS.

        BUT LOOK Carefully at what you are trying to get to...
