Ray -

This product will not attach to the AS/400. The AS/400 has a proprietary
interface. Block size of NT is 512 and the AS/400 is 520 & 522.

Sorry,

David

Subject: SAN Solution

Is anyone using a Xiotech Magnitude SAN device to connect to an 800 Series?

Is it possible to do this? The Xiotech technician mention that IBM used an
"unconvntional" block size that would probably make it difficult for the SAN
to accept data from the AS400.
>From what I can see IBM and Xiotech seem to know very little about each
other.
This "solution" is more for the NT, Unix and Netware plataforms, but my
boss would like to take advantage of it and use it for the AS400 (iSeries).
I know that IBM has its own SAN (ESS) solution. Chances are we will not go
that route.
Any information (and I mean any!) would be greatly
appreciated.
TIA.
