  • Subject: VAJava - How can I write a class that will add components to the VCE
  • From: Bob Buchanan <BobbyB@xxxxxxxxxxx>

I know this should probably be on the Java400 list, but it doesn't
directly relate to Java on the iSeries, and I'm hoping that someone
knows someone that can help me, 'cause I can't find anything on IBM's
site telling me how to do this.

What I would like to do is write a class that would run within the
VAJava VCE that would reference an external database and add components
to the VCE (labels and fields to a pane) that I could then manipulate
within the VCE. I am trying to build some templates that will be edited
by other programmers, changing labels and dropping/hiding fields they
don't want displayed. (I have code that can build the panel the way I
want it, I just can't get it visible within the VAJava VCE.)

Thanks.
