> Jim, is the printer attached to a remote OUTQ or a *DEVD? I've found that > the *DEVD connexion is far superior. > (here's where I show my ignorance) - "both" The printer was originally a local *lan printer with a devd. Some S36 pgms still use it and need a true device id. Some have a single or 3 port jet direct card. I only found "queue name" in the outq description, so I changed outq so remote system is *intnetadr and then I could specify a queue name like "text1" for jet direct port 1. In typing this response, i was checking some parms and see I left the workstation customization off 1 printer (this may be my problem). Have to call customer to test this. jim ----- Original Message ----- From: "Buck Calabro" <Buck.Calabro@commsoft.net> To: <MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com> Sent: Tuesday, August 07, 2001 10:32 AM Subject: RE: afp print affected by prev job > >I have an hp4000 on local lan, shared between NT & 400... > > Buck > +--- > | This is the Midrange System Mailing List! > | To submit a new message, send your mail to MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com. > | To subscribe to this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-SUB@midrange.com. > | To unsubscribe from this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. > | Questions should be directed to the list owner/operator: david@midrange.com > +--- +--- | This is the Midrange System Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com. | To subscribe to this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-SUB@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner/operator: david@midrange.com +---
