Well, I did say it was taxing my tiny brain.  Things from long ago are 
fading fast ...

I checked the VRM320 TCP Reference and couldn't find the command listed but 
that's because I was thinking of it as the AS/400 equivalent of REXEC and 
therefore a TCP command.  So I checked the VRM320 CL Command Reference and 
there it was ... and with *IP support.  There were no change flags on the 
command or its parameters so I guess that means it was around on at least 
one earlier release.

So RUNRMTCMD may indeed be an option for what's is name.
