I haven't taken a good look at RTVCMDSRC (yet).  But I guessed that it used
the command object to derive the source.  Were you talking about using an
IBM command built from one release and using that same object on a later
release?  Using your example, couldn't you just use RTVCMDSRC on the V5R1
CRTRPGPGM command?  Or, did you do that, and still had to manually edit the
source?

     RTVCMDSRC is a great utility, but it doesn't do a perfect job.  New
     command
     parameter types are added in each release (yes - still!!!), and
     RTVCMDSRC
     doesn't always get the updates.  For example, the CRTRPGPGM command
     that I
     posted yesterday had to be fixed by hand.  (V5R1)
