I think a hiper ptf is needed to resolve the following issue. We had two AS/400's running V5R1 with disk issues. Luckily they were in a raid set. ** I don't think the disk issues and V5R1 were related but the handling of the issue was. ** We have service director installed. However the service director table has had the entries cleared. Translation. It will only call IBM if certain errors occurred. They have a table of errors to notify IBM on. Evidently the SRC code that says that a disk drive is fried and needs immediate replacement no longer counts. It is recommended that the following be added to the table: 6717 FFF4 660* FFF2 2748 9030 2778 9030 Our CE is in our computer room updating our service director tables. His older brother, (another CE), was here last week replacing disk drives. The CE is on the phone checking for more recommendations. Feel free to forward on to your CE's.
