  • Subject: PDF File Creation Problems

We are creating PDF files from reports, and the reports have a header page
that shows the parameters used to submit the job, this shows even if there
is no report (are are using Lawson). So, in order to avoid that extra page
from showing we trim off the first page. The command used is below.

SPL2STMF FILE(&SPLFILE) +
             JOB(&JOBNUM/&USERNAME/&JOBNAME) +
             SPLNBR(*LAST) FROM(2) TO(*LAST) +
             TOSTMF(&SFNAME) DIR(&DIRNAME)

What I was wondering is if there is a way to check to see if there is more
than one page to the report, if there is then run the command, if not, don't
run the command, otherwise we get 1k files that won't open, because there is
nothing there.
