One has nothing to do with the other.

Incorrect subjects mean you don't know what's in the email until you open it
and read it.  If it's a thread I have no interest (or knowledge) in, I can
delete it.  Otherwise I have to read it or possibly miss a post that I don't
want to.

Removing part of the post I'm replying to has to do with size.  That has
more to do with the "use or not to use html" thread than the "blank subject
lines" thread.

Since size isn't an issue with me so I don't find it important.

I also don't care if I get html e-mail but after that thread I became
convinced to not reply to html e-mail until I converted it to plain text.

At the moment I'm not equally moved so I'll just leave the rest of the email
in for posterity.
