If they are the extended carts you will need a 3590 E11 drive.

P.S. carts are worth quite a bit more!

I have 2 3590b cartridge drives.  They are quite happy with the 10GB tape 
cartridges, but our supplier sent a batch of 10GB/20GB tapes by 
mistake.  The 3590's refuse point blank to INZTAP these carts.  Do I need 
PTF's so the 3590's microcode can read these carts? Do I need to change a 
parameter in the INZTAP command?  Or do I have an AS/400's chance in a 
marketting campaign to get these carts to work?
