I'd never use the 9348 for backups, but it is still required to read those old 1600BPI tapes our accounting department gives us each day containing data off of that ancient payment processing machine on the second floor! I guess in this case reel to reel tape is better than 96 column punch cards! Kenneth PS ... I still have a few hundred of those 96 column punch cards in my desk.
