In the environment that I used this same type of scenario, we named the DDM files the exact same name as the target files and put them in a library that was named the same as the target library. In a disaster recovery situation, we would simply load the real data (having the same file and library names as the DDM files) onto the one machine and presto. We be live. But, if you are using a DDM file named B in lib X and it points to file R in lib Y, then a logical in X named B could point to the R in Y.
