I was just informed by Rochester of a problem with Partial Processor
LPAR support. Aparently it is not yet comletely stable and a new cut of
SLIC is coming out possibly later this week with the fix. They said
this was a 'known problem' but it's the first I've heard of it.

The symptom is extremely LOW CPU utilzation (like under 10) while users
are getting extremely HIGH response times. (like replace seconds with
minutes) It was explained that work is queueing up but for some reason
the OS does not decide to do that work. It should be noted that we did
not experience a system crash per se' but we sure were not getting any
work done!
