Change the look of new messages
1       On the Tools menu, click Options, and then click the Mail Format
tab.
2       In the Send in this message format box, click the text editor you
want.

alignment, horizontal lines, backgrounds, HTML styles, Web pages
Microsoft Outlook Rich Text     Text formatting, bullets, alignment
Plain Text                              No formatting

Notes
·       When reading and replying to a message, Outlook uses the format the
message was created in. For example, if you reply to a message sent to you
in plain text, Outlook sends the response in plain text.
·       If you use HTML as your new message format, you can use stationery
to change the background and fonts used in the message. For information

I think what happens with the Web front-end is I see it composed in HTML and
there is no option to turn it off, so I assume it's going out that way... I
guess not.
Dan, it seems I get your messages in HTML format only when you reply to a
posting, your 'original' posts (when you create a fresh thread) seem to ne
plain text.
Anyone else see that ?
