Yes, I have set up address book entries for Midrange-L and selected the plain text option in the MIME box, although someone from our PC Support department suggested I try the Plain text/UUEncode option. So look for my next "original" message to see if that fixes things.
From previous posts, I've been told that, no matter how I've got the address book entry set up, when I reply using Outlook 97 to a message that has HTML, Outlook assumes that format as well. Someone on the list sent me a print screen of her Format menu, and hers has the option to change such a reply to plain text, whereas my Format menu has no such option. I'm hoping there's an add-on to give me that option.

Dan,
For Outlook 97, I think you set the option in the Contacts/Personal Address
book entries (on the Name tab). You might need to add one one for the
midrange-l address ?
Other wise, http://www.slipstick.com <http://www.slipstick.com> has lots of
Outlook addins/links.

Outlook forces it ! )

I'll apologize again for what will surely be an HTML email, but I do NOT
have the option (to change the reply format to text-only) in the Outlook '97
as is loaded on my system. But I recall from a previous shop that there
were add-ins that could be loaded that add features to the base install.
Someone from the list sent me a print screen of her Format menu, and it has
several features, including the ones you mentioned Joel; mine has only the
Font and Paragraph options.
I asked someone in our PC Support to look into this a week ago, but no luck
yet. Anybody know where I can go to find add-ons for Outlook?

Yes. The text/rtf/html option is on the Outlook format menu.
