1. On the 36 side,,FROMLIBR...specify file name allow at lot of blocks
2. FTP the file to one of the 400 boxes, call the receiver LIB36
3. Go ahead and backup to tape.
If you ever have to restore a 36 library. reverse the process, build an empty library the same size as the one you saved, and TOLIBR that file on the 36 side.
Suggest you test it with only one library first, and then you can proceduralize it..

I've run into problems with identical tape devices, not able to read one anothers tapes..as strange as that sounds.
As an alternative , why not try transferring a library file accross to whatever machine you want, loading the resultant object into an empty library for taping..
