We have that, but are under the opinion, as well as many other sharp individuals, that you're best to wait until V5R1 until you try to use it, unless you want to earn a doctorate in BRMS. Besides, with two separate 400's clustered together we can stay up even during operating system upgrades. We actually did an OS upgrade during prime time instead of during the weekend. Granted, I would feel better, (talking DR here), if the computer was in a different room. We are quite impressed. We knew the 3590 would beat the 3570 but we were surprised by how much. What really floored us was the new LTO tape drive shaving a few hours off of the backup that our 3590 did. Stats: I) Old A) Backup of primary Domino server. Used 3570 on 830 QPRCFEAT=23D1, using 6534 storage controller. Ran from 22:27-05:27 or exactly 7 hours. B) Backup of ADSTAR PC backups stored on 400. Used 3590-E on 830 QPRCFEAT=23D1, using 2749 storage controller. Ran from 00:22->09:04 or just under 9 hours II) New A) Backup of primary Domino server. Used 3590-E on 830 QPRCFEAT=23D1, using 6534 storage controller. Ran from 22:11->23:39 or just under 2.5 hours. A savings of 4.5 hours! B) Backup of ADSTAR PC backups stored on 400. Used LTO tape drive on 830 QPRCFEAT=23D1, using 2749 storage controller. Ran from 00:22->06:30 (didn't have enough tapes - ADSTAR data is already compressed) and from 07:58->08:42 or around 6.75 hours. A savings of 2.25 hours. This significantly reduces the time that our primary Domino server is down. Also, we were getting close to the 10 tape limit in our 3590-E but our LTO tape drive is only using 4 out of the 7 tapes, so our ADSTAR capacity has grown. And, the LTO tape drive, once we got it configured, so far has not given us the problems like the $%^& 3570 did.
