If you have performance tools then WRKSYSACT might be a better bet. There are tasks which take up CPU but yet don't appear as jobs. If you had a newer version of OS I would strongly recommend the Management Central portion of Operations Navigator, but I don't think it quite goes back to the Jurassic Age. But, what the heck, you can try it and see what happens. Actually my boss monitors performance like a hawk, and actually is quite quick to throw money at a problem to fix it. I can't argue, it is effective. Rob Berendt ================== A smart person learns from their mistakes, but a wise person learns from OTHER peoples mistakes. Over the past few days, we've been seeing the CPU running consistently in the 75% - 90+% range all day long. A cursory look at the jobs in WRKACTJOB showed a total of about 40% when the display header shows 74%. Our job queue is beginning to get backed up a bit. Disk uitilization is currently at 81%, BUT we've had this condition for at least a few weeks now. This system hasn't seen disk utilization under 70% in a long LONG time. Where do I start looking?
