True and I usually convert the HTML to Plain Text before responding. I replyed to Dan off line about a little known exchange feature that will convert all MIME outbound e-mails to HTML. I had the same problem here about a year ago. Good old Micro$$oft has to mess with outbound e-mails. Christopher K. When you click on the plain text option you get a heavy handed warning about losing valuable attributes of the message. Seems to me it was the same way in '97 although anything more than a few hours ago is a little fuzzy for me. The excerpt below came in to me as HTML or RTF. -----Original Message----- From: Bale, Dan [mailto:D.Bale@handleman.com] Sent: Tuesday, June 26, 2001 3:52 PM To: MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com Cc: chris.bipes@cross-check.com Subject: RE: NFS server errors; LOTS of DUMPs >PLEASE TURN OFF HTML! CR*P! When I created the address book entry for the mailing lists, I specified to *NOT* send in microsoft Rich Text Format. On another form, I selected "MIME-plain text". The other options were: "Plain text/UUEncode". I see no options for HTML. I'm using Outlook 97. (Is that the bug?) If someone knows how to turn this off so that I never send HTML to the list, please let me know! Are *ALL* my posts arriving with HTML? I ask because I've suspected that it may also be caused by the messages you reply to, and if they're HTML-coded, Outlook may ignore my preferences and do likewise with my reply. Sorry for the mess!
