Dear Jerry, If you are running a reasonably new version of OS/400, you will find that PSF/400 is now always included with the operating system. If you did not license the product, the first time that you need it a message will be displayed telling you that PSF/400 is running in evaluation mode and will turn itself off in xx days. If you get this message, you will need to contact IBM to officially license PSF/400 for your system. After you pay the fee, IBM will send you a license code that will convert PSF/400 from evaluation mode to permanent mode. Best Regards, /Paul -- Paul Tykodi Director of Technical Services LCI-Intermate US, Inc. paul@intermate-us.com Date: Mon, 25 Jun 2001 09:30:42 -0400 From: "Jerry Kern" <Jerry.Kern@midwayproducts.com> Subject: How do I verify that PSF is installed? I need to verify that Print Services Facility, base product option 17, is installed on my system. I checked the licensed intalled programs (GO LICPGM option 10) looking for that description but only found OS/400 PSF/400 Fax Support. Is this the same? I want to use the CRTPSFCFG command, which when keyed on the command line and prompted with F4 appears. Is this a valid method of verification that the product is installed? I'd like to know before I spend the time to configure devices only to find out later that the product is not installed.
