Steve, The mailto: is unrelated to the http server. For example, I have a web site running on my AS/400, but the email is handled via an ISP. It was kinda aggravating to get the DNS records set up properly, but that's the way it works. This was before I figured out the POP and SMTP servers on the 400. Plus, the ISP has a wildcard email address and an auto-responder already. I'll be glad when someone at IBM figures out how to do the wildcard email address thing. What you use for the mail to is an HTML thing only. You could have the email going anywhere, ie., aol :(, hotmail, or anywhere else. If you want to set up an "auto-reply", there is no built-in way to do this (that I know of). I guess you'd have to write something, or use a service to handle this email address. Replying to: An iseries is hosting a web site. It contains an option to send an = email msg to the site. How does the iseries web site hosting = application receive and reply to email messages ( in real time ) ? Do you have to use domino? AS/Resources, Inc.
