I only permanently apply PTF's when my back is to the wall, and I have to. The disk space is a relative nit. My question is just how many people apply the ptf's permanently before they put on a new cum set? We are 24/7 so the times I can steal the machine is not that often without a "little" planning. We have been running since December when the last cum was installed & I missed the one before C1100. ECS will once in a while download some ptf's to be applied (which I will do) but the system has been running just fine - as far as I know. They tell you by applying ptf's permanently you will free up some disk space. Is there some place I could figure out just how much they are talking about? Or is it just not enough to worry about? I ALWAYS do an option 21 SAVSYS before putting on of a new cum. If there is every a bad ptf found then it gets real messy to reload your system to remove this bad ptf but other than that, what other drawbacks might there be to applying ptf's permanently? Well, back to getting the cum installed. The ptf's have now been applied with a PWRDWNSYS. Thanks - Dennis. Dennis Munro "I love deadlines.
