Change the user id's on the network to match the user id's on the AS400 and
force a restriction on naming convention that matches both systems. For
e-mail you will have to create aliases for the old name and import them to
the new user accounts. A pain to convert but easy to manage once in place.

Subject: Netserver questions

Okay...we have an issue. We are trying out netserver. However, those people
who need access to the IFS can't connect to the IFS through CA. To make
things worse, many or our network usernames are longer than 10 chars (which
from what I understand is the max allowed for the user access and not use
the guest account). We don't want everyone on the network to have access to
the IFS. How have you guys handled security for an existing network with
long usernames? I am willing to take suggestions.
