We use Quadrant's FastFax, which works nicely. It allows for overlays and
page segments, which we use because we fax PO's to vendors & we have to
duplicate the PO form (and the signature) in the fax. It's fairly simple
to set things up so you can print a copy on the form (no overlay) and also
fax one (with overlay).

If you're looking for something simler, this may be overkill, but we're
quite happy with it.
