Mark, QNTC is a part of the IFS for accessing data on NT machines, so you could read/write data between OS/400 appl and NT. Obviously yours is working. It has probably found all the machines on its subnet. My understanding is that to access the NT file system you have to get authenticated by NT, so you would have to be logged on the AS/400 with the same userid you use for the NT box. Can you confirm this is true in your case? -Marty ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 31 May 2001 11:14:24 -0400 From: MWalter@hanoverwire.com Subject: QNTC Hello all, I was wondering around the IFS and found a QNTC folder. Does anyone else have one and for what is it used? In the folder it looks like there are disk images of a number of PC's on our network including two NT Servers. I don't remember putting it there. thanks Mark +--- | This is the Midrange System Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com. | To subscribe to this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-SUB@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner/operator: david@midrange.com +---
