The AS/400 is a VERY competent web server & you already know the skill sets necessary to run it. MORE IMPORTANTLY, you probably have enough spare CPU cycles on your machine to run the web site. Remember that the AS/400 has Interactive & Client / Server cpu cycles separated. Web serving uses the client / server cpu cycles that most users have to burn! We run a 40,000 dynamic (not static) page view / day site (ScoreBook.com) with the "leftover" client / server cpu cycles from our smallest AS/400 (a 270 w/the smallest processor available). Adding another component / server just adds one more item to fail / support ...
