As I indicated at Soundoff at COMMON, we have had much more of our fair
share of the V5R1 bugs.  My feeling is that we push the edge of OS/400 more
than most, but still we have had a tough time.

As a matter of principle, we don't talk about early bugs that are resolved
before GA (general availability date for the release - last Friday for
V5R1).  The reason why we do act as a beta tester is so those bugs can get
fixed before you find them.  For problems that are not fixed before GA, IBM
tells us when they expect a fixed.  We work with IBM in a partnership for
excellence of OS/400.  V5R1 has been tougher than most.

Someone asked me is V5R1 was better or worse than V3R1.  Hell, V3R1 was
worse than Hiroshima.  V5R1 is significantly better than that!
