I'm sure there's a more elegant solution than this, but I have since
approx. 1986 had four little RPG programs (which could of course be ILE
modules, but I've been too idle to convert them) which convert dec (9,0) to
and from 4-byte binary and dec (5,0) to and from 2-byte binary. I've also
got CL commands that use these as CPPs. I just plug these in where I need
them.

  >-----------------------------------------------------------------------|

Folks:

I'm looking for opinions... what's the best way to pass binary data to a
CL?

I've got a CL wrapper around an IBM API that requires binary parameters.

I've tried passing standard numeric parms, but I'm looking for
alternatives.

Thanks!

david
