You may remember my issue not too long ago with an RPGIV program failing on a file read even though the parameters all lined up. When converted to RPG III, the program executed without an error. As it turns out, there were calls to programs using externally defined data structures as parameters. The length of these data structures was not explicitly defined in the calling program, but the called program expected the length to be 256. When I explicitly defined the lengths of the data structures, I ceased receiving the MCH3601 message. Hope that helps. Donald R. I've looked at everything near the failure point, both RPG and CL, and everything jives with the docs. <clip> +--- | This is the Midrange System Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com. | To subscribe to this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-SUB@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner/operator: david@midrange.com +---
