I use a program called PopUp Killer that's available at most shareware download sites. It's relatively unobtrusive, but you have to turn it off when you use the search feature in InfoCenter. That may be the only site I've seen that makes positive use of pop ups. There's also a nice freeware program called AdAware that is very good at detecting and removing spyware.
