Phil, Checkout Symantec's NAV for Gateway's. You point your DNS MX record at the gateway. It then virus scans and then passes it on to your "real" SMTP. Should require no change to your SMTP setup...just DNS. We use it and are fairly happy with it. Regards, Bob Crothers Cornerstone Communications http://www.cstoneindy.com PS: We are also a very happy Stalker customer! -----Original Message----- From: owner-midrange-l@midrange.com [mailto:owner-midrange-l@midrange.com]On Behalf Of Phil Sent: Wednesday, May 16, 2001 9:00 AM To: MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com Subject: RE: SMTP inbound mail problem Same here. No problems since V4R4. Close to two years now. Zero cost. Disadvantage is lack of server-side virus scanning. Things have improved greatly. Not one problem since V4R5. Zero cost. The mail servers on the 400 aren't up to par to run in a production environment, in my opinion.
