  • Subject: AS400 as ODBC client

I've checked the archives, but turned up little.

I want to use the AS400 as a client to access data from a Microsoft SQL
server (V7) database. [The database & server is in another location in
another state, so cannot be put on our AS/400. Also corporately mandated the
data is on the NT server.] One solution I've heard is "use DRDA". Does MS
SQL server have a DRDA component to allow access from the AS/400? Another
idea is to run SNA server on an NT box to broker ODBC connections for the
AS/400.

Does anyone have this working? Any advice is appreciated!
