The machine that did the calling is an 820 DSD running V4R5 with Service Director. I believe the function has been around since V4R3. way back in 1989-90, we had similar situation, but the operator was notified y a program monitoring the QSYSOPR message queue. Lost a 9337 (suprise), the operator got notified, called IBM, and had the drive replaced before the administrators knew there was a problem. I want my iSeries...
