Hi Marry, Are you asking for a list of possible messages? Or just a way to list the messages that are already in the QSYSOPR message queue? For the latter you can use DSPMSG MSGQ(QSYSOPR) OUTPUT(*PRINT) For the former, you would need to do DSPMSGD MSGF(QCPFMSG) OUTPUT(*PRINT) just to get started, then you'd have to hunt down every message file on the system with DSPOBJD OBJ(*ALL/*ALL) OBJTYPE(*MSGF) OUTPUT(*OUTFILE) OUTFILE(QTEMP/MSGFS) and do a DSPMSGD for each one, because any program can send any message to any message queue, including QSYSOPR. Then you'd have to look at all your RPG programs for any that use the DSPLY opcode to QSYSOPR, since those could send any arbitray text, not something already defined in a message file. And there is undoubtedly something similar in other languages, e.g. COBOL's DISPLAY opcode. I suppose if you're just looking for messages that OS400 might put in QSYSOPR, you could look mainly at message files in library QSYS. hth, Peter Dow Dow Software Services, Inc. 909 425-0194 voice 909 425-0196 fax ----- Original Message ----- From: "Marry smith" <msmith282001@yahoo.com> To: <MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com> Sent: Thursday, May 03, 2001 12:46 PM Subject: list of messages sent to QSYSOPR > Hi, > > I want to find a complete list of error messages sent > to QSYSOPR which includes message description, ID, > severit etc , does anybody know where I could find > such document? > > Regarding DB2/400, is there any special message ID > accociated with error message about DB2? > > Thanks! > > Marry Smith > > __________________________________________________ > Do You Yahoo!? > Yahoo!
