<snip> I interpret this post to say that Ms. Hoover, and IBM, wants to learn why we care so much for the iSeries. <endsnip> With all due respect, if IBM gave a rats butt about how we all felt about this technology, all they have to do is sit at CUDS at any COMMON conference, or at the dinner party put on at the technical conference and listen. We've been telling them for years, they (IBM Headquarters) just choose not to listen. I have an alternative way of interpreting "Heritage", just substitute "Sunset" any time you see it. I am now convinced that IBM senior management know exactly what they have in this technology, but do not want to promote it. It will put mainframe, unix, and Intel servers clean out of business, and since the iSeries only represents small percentages of revenue for IBM, well anyone can read those tea leaves.
