I was just getting ready to post a similar question.

I'm using the qtmmsendmail api. When there are large attachments that get
encoded, the email is apparently sent in it's parts. If the e-mail client
retrieves the mail right after the qtmmsendmail api is called, it may get
one of the parts. Then a few minutes later get the remaining parts. The
e-mail client will decode the parts automatically once they're all there but
users think there's a problem and delete the first part.

Is there anyway to control this?

Simone, if you wait long enough, do the remaining parts eventually get
delivered using snddst?

Phil

Subject: AS/400 E-mail attachments are split

We have some procedures that send e-mails directly
from AS/400 to the users using SNDDST TYPE(*DOC).
It happens that attachments of 300 K (for example) are
split into 3 unreadable attachments that come out as
C.DTF.
Is there a limitation in the AS/400 or is the
recipient (which is under Lotus Notes in a separate
server) that split the attachment ?
How can we solve this problem ?

Any help would be appreciated.
