We had an employee years ago that we sent to hawaii for a convention,
paid for his hotel, airfare, convention fees, expenses, and his wife's
expenses, except her air ticket.

but he felt we stiffed him because of that very same mentality.  most of
you would gladly take a trip to hawaii, right?  and not pick it to
pieces??
