I've tried and tried to get ENDSBS *ALL to work in batch mode, and
I could never be able to do it, Dave. So, what I've found is I either
have to buy software to do it for me (Robot Save) or write a program
to run interactively on the console that just delays until a certain time,
then kicks off the endsbs and saves then either ipls or loads back up the
sub systems.

I have gotten messages on this list in the past (years ago) about certain
commands that were supposed to work for me (TFRJOB, etc...) but I could never
get any of them to work.

Regards,

Jim Langston

Subject: ENDSBS

I am trying to create a batch job that performs a SAVSYS, and prior to the
SAVSYS command I am issuing an ENDSBS *ALL
command. I am having difficulty getting either command to work.

Messages I receive:

ENDSBS *ALL not allowed in current environment.
Command SAVSYS not allowed in this setting.

I realize both messages are because I am trying to run them in batch because if
I run them interactively, they work.

How do others perform unattended system backups?
