You can do a "force power off" by taking option 8 on the control panel.
This is the equivalent of hitting the old "red switch".  On a model S10,
you could also unplug it from the wall (or the UPS - if installed).

I am having a problem whereby I believe that one of
the programmers here had a runaway program that caused
disk utilization to exceed 95% (which is what the
client has the threshold set at).  No one (not even
the console can sign on to the system.  I want to
manually restart the system before dasd usage reaches
100%.  Please help.  Model is S10.
