We have not noticed this, but we do not push our one remaining system
retuning V4R4 that hard.  Keep in mind that as IBM adds function to the
code, the machines become inherently less efficient, because they are doing
more work.

It's plausible that your system is at "the knee of the curve", and the
added functions of the PTFs caused it more pain.  If there any chance that
your business is causing more work (like more orders, invoices, pick
tickets, etc)?

We recently installed an updated CUM PTF (C0350440, I believe) on a
620-2181, the last time we did one was early in 2000.

The general consensus among users is that the computer is working harder
and getting less done.

Has anyone else had that experience, and if so, is there a resolution? Or
do you think it's all in their minds?
