Think of the cost of installing, maintaining, upgrading and backing up 
those 1024 NT/Chickens, instead of a couple of one or two Oxen/400.
Not to mention the cost of protecting each chicken from the salmonella 
virus, and making sure all the paperwork for their licenses are all kept 
up to date.  Much easier to look after an ox or two.
