>> IBM's Webfacing tool will be released soon. After folks convert their 5250 screens to JSP's, then realize the new user interface takes 3000% more CPU time, they're not going to be happy. I haven't run any timing trials but from what I've seen so far Webfacing runs pretty quickly - in side-by-side tests of some apps the Webfaced screen comes back faster than the 5250 emulator (note I said emulator _not_ "real" 5250). It would run even faster (well cheaper anyway) if Rochester permitted the webfaced version to run as a batch process. PS. People - isn't it about time the P*ss*ng contest part of this thread died? There's a limit to how many times I want to listen to certain people (who shall remain nameless but know who they are) insult each other in any given day. +--- | This is the Midrange System Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com. | To subscribe to this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-SUB@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner/operator: david@midrange.com +---
