Try this:
                        Retrieve WSCST source (RTVWSCST)

Device type  . . . . . . . . . . > *TRANSFORM    *TRANSFORM, 3101, 3151...
 Manufacturer type and model  . . > *HP4000
 Source member  . . . . . . . . .   hp4000        Name
 Source file  . . . . . . . . . .   QTXTSRC       Name
   Library  . . . . . . . . . . .     qgpl        Name, *CURLIB, *LIBL
 Text 'description' . . . . . . .   Wscst for HP4000

Once you got your wscst in the file open it with seu and search for RASTERMODE (usually it's at the end) and set     :RASTERMODE
      SCS=NO
      AFP=YES.

Create the object:

 CRTWSCST WSCST(QGPL/HP4000)
          SRCFILE(QGPL/QTXTSRC)

Now ff you are using client access enter communications, configure, settings and in the modell box selec other printers and in the object put  HP4000 (lib QGPL). (maybe some diffrence since I translate from Italian version)

if you are using a direct ip printing (as devd) just set the keywords:
  TRANSFORM   *YES
 MFRTYPMDL   *WSCST
 WSCST       HP4000
               QGPL

It's a little cpu wasting but usually it works.

Subject: dds barcode to hp4000 problem.

I am using the DDS keyword for barcode, with external print file
compiled printer dev type *afpds. Printing to a HP4000 network printer,
with hpt *yes and model type *hp4000 (also tried *hp5si).
Barcode prints fine, but now, randomly, some text
characters are squished together, or even overlayed.
At 4.4 recent but not latest cum.
Was following a post in archives that says this works.
Do not have any of the afp "additional" software.
Any ideas?
jim
