Interesting to
hear your story about nothing happening and Booths Windows ME
forward then backward. ME is lost, I guess.
BOOTH you sure it does not think your in Indiana?
As for my experience Win 98 SE [with all
the fixes I know of] did just fine. First sign on
it said it changed the time, told me the zone etc and
asked my confirmation.
NOW WIN 98 not locking up or not powering down
correctly is a whole other story of grief among many, including
me.

my pc said
nothing today - still an hour slow, and yes - the box is
checked to auto adjust. win98 2nd ed, with fairly current updates.
That's the horror of windoze - you select the options, but never
know if they really execute. no easy log or messages.
given the various laws in localities, I thinks it's better not to have
the mfgr do the update. Can you imagine living in some county where they
opted out of daylight savings, and for half a year you never can get the
right time.
