Tim,

I have zipped together a couple of ASCII files and put them at:
http://www.james-w-kilgore.com/ftp/index.html

In real life, most of the code is in /COPY members, but I thought it
might be easier to view this way.

There are two programs, one to index the item master description and
another to index a customer name and street address.  The programs are
about 100 lines each where about 80% is the same.
