'Cone of silence' (from the movie 'The Nude Bomb' a 'Get Smart' movie).
We played, very shortly, with changing the system value QCRTAUT to
*EXCLUDE. Anytime a display session was automatically created the creator,
always some IBM profile, had *ALL access to the display. All the users had
*EXCLUDE. Therefore you could set up your PC to create a session
automatically yet not have access to it. The work around is to do the
WRKOBJ on the display, for example WRKOBJ QSYS/PCAW and change *PUBLIC to
change. I think you'll have trouble with *USE, but you can try that.
After having to change a few displays we quickly changed the system value
QCRTAUT back to *ALL.

Dear List

I have a new user set up to access the As400 and JDE (A7.3.10). She is
connection via a PC using Client Access Express. However when she logs in
she gets the following: CFP2241 User Profile xxxxxx not authorised to *DEVD
QSYS/PCAW

Anyone have any ideas which parm it will be in the user profile, or indeed
will it be the Group profile authority?

It just seems strange as she can log in to other PC's fine - so it makes me
think that it's the Express installation rather than her profile - any
gurus out there who can give me some hints??

TIA
Charlotte
