But you see what I mean.  Putting data into XML is fairly simply.  Taking it
out... yikes!  I have yet to see an XML document that is as simple as

<book>
  <chapter id="1">Loading the Gun</chapter>
  <chapter id="2">Cocking the Gun</chapter>
  .. 
</book>

Throw a schema or DTD that your parser also has to use and it complicates
things even more.  I wouldn't want to write an X.12 parser and definitly not
a XML parser that worked for everything.  But, I may try just for fun.  ;)
